SHOCKING 65% INCREASE IN PEOPLE NEEDING HELP FROM THE FOODBANK

Malvern Hills Foodbank has seen a massive, 65%, increase in emergency food distribution in its operating year ending 30 September 2019. In this period the foodbank distributed 2,545 food parcels, through vouchers issued by local referral agencies, in comparison with 1,542 in the year ending 30 September 2018. This averages to almost 50 parcels per week, and over 200 per month, with each parcel providing a 3 day supply of food to one person, adult or child, in need of emergency help.
