Huge thanks to Waitrose customers who gave generously, as they often do, when
we set up a display of what we do, and an example of what we supply to a family of two to cover three days of food plus some extras for cleaning materials – as some Easter egg treats.
Many of our volunteers turned out to deal with biting winds and some fierce showers to talk to passers by about the scheme for collecting a bag of items we are short of. This simple idea, which started at Morrisons, means customers can simply decide on the value of a bag, pay for it, and leave in the Food Bank collection point. The advantage for us is that your donations then help us replenish stocks of things we are currently short of. We update the list of these every week: https://malvernhills.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/
By the end of the day we had filled fifteen large trays with donated food.
We say a big Thank You to everyone who supported us then, and all those who do so week after week through supermarkets, shops, and churches, or by donating money. https://malvernhills.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/
